UPDATE: It was actually Derek I spoke to the following day and not John. After talking with Derek further I decided I felt comfortable returning the vehicle, which now appears to have been fixed very promptly. I can't be certain the issue won't return tomorrow as it did previously, but I feel like I can trust the garage to do the job asked if necessary. In all fairness the guys at the desk could have been difficult but were helpful and efficient, I wasn't kept waiting and I got replies from Derek quickly, even outside of business hours. I won't conceal the fact that initially I had an unpleasant experience and I do stand by my queries, however everyone I've spoken to since has been professional and in my eyes reconciled the situation with me. I'll update if any other details arise. I'm inclined to believe this has just been unfortunate and not representative of your typical experience here; the majority of the other reviews here would certainly suggest so. Because of this, I've reconsidered my rating. Original~~~ I dropped my car off in the morning after making them aware that the DPF light was on and that the garage who MOT'd the vehicle advised it may be the sensor, but were unsure. I decided to go to LVS, who were recommended for their diagnostics, whereas my car is MOT'd at a franchised garage. I asked to be called back 11:00-12:00 (or after 14:30 if not, I did not mind the car being in overnight) as I was in meetings all morning. Lo and behold, I was called at 10:23 during work. I answered the call so as to get the issue resolved quickly despite my instruction being blatantly ignored. I was sneered a the receptionist, when I pointed this out the following day. He said it was "complicated" and then proceeded to chastise me for answering the call. The exhaust pressure sensor was replaced. The total cost was £361.24 (in the interest of transparency, £41 of this was for an initial diagnosis--no problems at all with that), £80 was for a DPF regeneration that was not required, but it was posed to me as if it was a requirement. It is not, especially given it had just been regenerated when it was MOT'd as I informed them in the morning. I was charged over £186 for the sensor PART alone, not including labour. Even for OEM parts this is laughable, little did I know. Ostensibly LVS saw an opportunity to make a quick & easy buck and grabbed it. I admit fault in assuming integrity on the garage's part, and trusting them that this quote was only for necessary work which would ultimately resolve the issue. As I was eager to get the problem solved I agreed to these prices, sadly I didn't realise how much I was being swindled until later. I don't have the time to argue with somebody in the morning, let alone the discomfort of talking with a face covering (which staff in shop do not wear, FYI). After the manner of handling my call I did not feel comfortable returning to such an atmosphere just to go through the rigmarole again. To be honest, if the problem light had actually been fully fixed at this price, I would have been altogether satisfied with the garage.

I took my recently purchased jaguar XKR to LVS to address several issues to get the car back to 100% running order. The car has been treated to a fully comprehensive service, new disks and pads and also a set of 4 new tyres, All work carried out was to a fantastic high standard, at a massively competitive price. Its especially reassuring when dealing with guy's such as John Berry and owner Derek who also share a passion and enthusiasm for performance cars and can hopefully continue to cater to the cars needs in the future. ☆☆☆☆☆👍
